"Shack" a book that has been read by hundreds, thousands, and even millions of readers both Christian and non-Christians alike. I must first admit that I am not a fiction reader, but with such a calmer over the book I felt I needed to look into this book and see for myself. I spend a lot of time on the road so instead of reading the book I listened to the audio book. many say you lose something when you are listening to it instead of reading it, but for me it was the best way.

William Young has put together an interesting combination of fiction and characteristics of the Trinity of God. There are a couple of things I have to say about this book. 1) You must remember that this is a fiction book. To many people have read this book and decided to take it as Theology and it is not. Mr Young will say the same thing it is fiction, not fact or to be taken as facts. 2) When your faith is challenged or stretched you need to keep reading but your question will be answered later in the book.

Many Bible Studies have been written as well as other books concerning the matters found in this book. I would highly recommend this book, but I would also recommend that you read it with an open mind and a sensitive heart toward God.

Find Its Christian - Press Release

A little nine-year-old boy got tired of practicing the piano. His mother heard the great Paderewski was coming into town to do a concert. She bought two tickets, one for herself and one for her boy. And she dragged him along, sat him down by her in his little tuxedo, and she began visiting with her friends. He looked up on the platform and there was this giant, ebony black, Steinway concert grand piano. The lid on the keyboard was lifted and the leather bench was there. He looked at this piano, popped his knuckles, and said to himself, “Oh, man, I’d like to play that.”

So he slipped down the aisle, walked across the front, up the steps, sat down, and started playing “Chopsticks.”

Well, the people down front said, “Who…who is… ?” “Quit!” “Hey, kid stop!” “Where’s his mother?” Of course she was embarrassed beyond words.

The great Paderewski, who was back fixing his tie, heard what was going on. So without the boy seeing him, he slipped out on the stage and came in behind the little boy, reached around him and improvised a beautiful melody to go with “Chopsticks.” Then he said to the boy, “Keep playing. Don’t quit. Don’t stop.” D.H. DeHann, Windows on the Word.

Memorial Day, the day of the year that we set aside to remember and honor those who have served our country in the Armed Forces. They have fought that we may continue to live in the Land of the Free. To those who are serving and those who have served we honor you and thank you for the sacrifices you have made that we may enjoy these freedoms. This country was founded on freedoms and the belief in those freedoms. One of those freedoms that we enjoy today is the freedom of religion. We are blessed to serve our God in the way we feel is right for us, without the threat of the government or ours.

On this Memorial Day let us remember another set of warriors that we too should honor as well. The writer of the Book of Hebrews in chapter 12 and verse 1 says, " Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us." These "clouds of witnesses" are those who have fought the battle before us. They have walked the path and have give us lights that we can follow. They have fought the good fight leaving us some great Pastoral Resources and we are grateful to them as well.

To those who have given their lives, given their time, and given their abilities that we may enjoy all of these freedoms; to them we give you honor and our thanks for you service. To those that have gone on before us in the Christian Battle, we too give you honor and our thanks.
